Don’t underestimate the power of subtle influences

The ideal productive temperature is around 22° Celsius (~77 F).

Being thirsty significantly impacts on productivity.

Bad weather alters mood.

What you eat greatly influences how much energy you have.

Those are just four of the thousands of influences that shift how we behave.

They don’t not matter on their own much. If we’re clear on our task, feel the importance and the urgency, we get stuff done even in subpar conditions.

But, if we aren’t that clear, these subtle influences can stack up and disrupt our work.

If you eat too much bread, skip a nap, it starts raining and your heating doesn’t work, what you have is a productivity disaster.

Notice the influences and if they reach a critical threshold, alter your working conditions.
