What are your irrational truths?
Everything happens for a reason. Is this true? Maybe. Is it useful to believe that? Definitely.
There are things that we believe that aren’t necessarily objectively true.
I’m on this planet for a reason. I’m capable of great things. I’m not enough. I can’t control what happens to me.
If you believe that you are on this planet to make YouTube videos, won’t you focus more energy on them, proving the belief right?
If you believe everything happens for a reason, won’t you try harder to find a reason and a lesson in every situation, especially the bad ones, leading you to spot more opportunities and learn more?
If you don’t think you are capable of great things, won’t you drift to the easy things, not try harder, and make yourself mediocre?
We can hold beliefs that might not be proveable or objectively true. They are our irrational truths.
They can serve us in the evolutionary game of life. Or they can hamper us.
