What you think, you become
Buddha said that and it’s true.
We can convince ourselves of anything.
I’m a good person. I’m a bad person.
I’m confident. I’m shy.
I’m fit. I’m fat.
These beliefs were put onto us by others and ourselves. As adults, we should be in charge of them, because they help us or hinder us. It’s up to us now.
Any label we apply to ourselves has an expiration date. A moment where it no longer fits and switches to limiting us.
Some of these labels have to do with specific skills — coder, marketer, carpenter,…
Some are more general — introvert, extrovert, ambivert…
Our identity can be the hardest obstacle to overcome.
If you believe you can change it, you will.
